I've been doing a dry run of Saturday's event and using 'rand' to give
random results. I've notice that unrated players are being given massive
spreads, which I guess means the random figure is somehow derived from
their rating (?). The average 'random' spread for an unrated player
seems to be around 300.

It was also giving some players negative scores during these rounds, for
example one game had a spread of 450 after a score something like 360
vs. -90.
