I don't do so myself, as I have a completely different set of scripts at
http://poslfit.homeip.net/scrabble/clubs/
for running club stats. I have been thinking about merging the projects
though, mainly because I'd like to introduce more sophisticated pairings
to the Toronto club. At present, I divide the 40 or so players each
week into groups of eight, assign a pairings officer to each group, and
have them manually do Swiss pairings.
I'd like to try to implement a pairing system similar to that used in
some Go tournaments, where if a reasonable but not necessarily optimal
choice of opponent is available when you turn in your result, then
that's whom you play. For example, if you are undefeated, then you
might be paired with any undefeated player within a certain range of
ratings, provided (and this is the tricky part) that it wouldn't result
in unpairable opponents among the remaining unpaired players, either
due to repeats or ratings differences.
If/when I do, then I'll have to add on a whole bunch of features for
managing club seasons consisting of many sessions, and club histories
consisting of many club seasons. Until then, you're welcome to use my
existing club stats software.
