The Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society (TTCS), in collaboration with
the Trinidad and Tobago Linux Users Group (TTLUG)
(http://www.ttlug.org/) and FLOS Caribbean
(http://www.floscaribbean.org/) invite you to celebrate Software Freedom
Day 2005. Software Freedom Day is a global, grassroots effort to educate
the public about the virtues and availability of Free and Open Source
Software (FOSS).

On Saturday 10th September 2005, from 1 to 5pm, we will focus on
demonstrations of not just some of the common FOSS software, but also
FOSS software created by local software developers. The TTCS OSSWIN CD
(http://www.ttcsweb.org/osswin-cd/), a collection of over 100 Free/Open
Source software for home and business users running Microsoft Windows
98SE/Me/2000 and XP will be available for purchase. Special versions of
the popular Linux operating system that you can safely try without
altering anything on your computer will also be on sale for a fee of $5
per CD, or just bring your own blank 700MB CDs and get it for free.

On Sunday 11th September 2005, from 1 to 5pm, we will hold an
Installfest session where you can bring your PC if you want to get FOSS
for Windows installed by the TTCS or a Linux distro by the TTLUG. Please
visit our Installfest page (http://www.ttcsweb.org/installfest/) for
more information on what preparations you need to make before bringing
your machine(s).

The venue for both days is at Engineering Consultants at 112A Edward
Street, Port of Spain (located at corner of Oxford Street and Edward
Street).

Persons interested in computers and related technology are invited to
attend. See you there!
