Membership in this group is restricted to dues paying members of the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association. We invite anyone with an interest in astronomy to join our association. Please visit our web page (www.tucsonastronomy.org) to learn more about our organization and how to join.

Monthly meetings of the TAAA are held on the first Friday of each month (except Holidays) in the Lecture Hall at Steward Observatory located on the University of Arizona campus. The meeting starts at 6:30pm with a Beginner’s Lecture. At 7:30pm, we begin the General Meeting with an Invited Lecture. This is usually presented by a professional astronomer from the very rich source of astronomers in our area.

We schedule several star parties each month. Usually two star parties are held at dark sites for our members. As a service to our community, we schedule star parties for several school or church groups each month. In addition, we hold special events throughout the year, such as Meteor Shower Watches, or Star-B-Qs.
