Department of Homeland Security post on homebrew biodiesel   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #249 of 327 |
Hello -

This afternoon, I received an email from a friend containing information
forwarded by the Department of Homeland Security regarding the "Hazards
Involving Biodiesel Production".

The original DHS email references a bulletin published by the Michigan
Intelligence Operations Center (MIOC). That bulletin discusses the hazards
involving biodiesel production. The DHS email was prepared for emergency
responders, and will be of general interest to the homebrew community.

I didn't have an opportunity to incorporate this into the latest release of the
biod101 manual, but I have copied the information to my server. You may view
the respective details at this link:

I found the quote : "The overall process is legal and relatively safe when
properly performed." very encouraging considering the source.

There is a link to the MIOC bulletin in the DHS email. That bulletin contains
some good points to be taken seriously with respect safety.

On that note, be safe!

Hans Huth
