Mexico Air Force video creates UFO stir

MEXICO CITY, May 11 (Reuters) - The Mexican Air Force has released footage
of what a UFO expert said were 11 invisible unidentified flying objects
picked up by an infrared camera as they whizzed around a surveillance
plane.

A long-time believer in flying saucers, journalist Jaime Maussan told a
news conference on Tuesday the objects were real and seemed "intelligent"
after they at one point changed direction and surrounded the plane chasing
them.

"They were invisible to the eye but they were there, there is no doubt
about it. They had mass, they had energy and they were moving about," he
said, after showing a 15-minute video he said the Defense Ministry gave
him permission to publicize.

The ministry confirmed to Reuters it had provided the video, filmed by the
Air Force on March 5 over the eastern coastal state of Campeche.

"We are not alone! This is so weird," one of the pilots can be heard
yelling, after the plane's crew switched on an infrared camera to track
the objects, first picked up by radar.

The film, recorded by a plane looking for drugs trafficking near the Gulf
of Mexico, shows 11 objects as blobs of light that hover in formation or
dart about, sometimes disappearing into cloud.

Mexico's most popular nightly news broadcast showed the video on Monday
night.

Interviewed by Mausson on another section of the video, the pilots said
they grew nervous when the objects, still invisible, turned back during a
chase and surrounded the plane.

"There was a moment when ... the screens showed they were behind us, to
the left and in front of us. It was at that point that I felt a bit
tense," said Maj. Magdaleno Castanon.

Mexico has a long history of fanciful UFO sightings, most of which are
dismissed by scientists as space debris, missiles, weather balloons,
natural weather phenomena or hoaxes.

MEXICO (EFE) - In an unprecedented move for this country - and
perhaps the whole world - military authorities have made public
a video showing 11 unidentified flying objects (UFOs) captured
by an aircraft belonging to the Secretariat of National Defense
(SEDENA). This video shall be presented today by journalist and
UFO researcher Jaime Maussan.

In an exclusive interview with the La Prensa newspaper, Maussan
stated that the Secretary of National Defense himself, Ricardo
Clemente Vega Garcia, authorized the broadcast of this material
to both domestic and foreign news media.

According to the researcher, the encounter occurred on March 5,
when an aircraft belonging to the Mexican Air Force, a Merlin
C26/A, was engaeed in drug interdiction patrols. At around 17:00
hours it detected the presence of 11 objects following it.

The routine flight took place between Copalar, Chiapas and the
State of Campeche. The encounter took place near Ciudad del
Carmen, Campeche. It was there that the aircraft, belonging to
the 501st Air Squadron was performing its routine patrol when it
suddenly detected the presence of an object on its radar at an
elevation of 3500 meters, as well as through its infrared
equipment (FLIR)..

The airplane immedately pursued the object, which according to
the video footage, lost itself in the clouds. Minutes later, the
presence of other objects - for a total of 11 - was detected.
They followed the aircraft and surrounded it.

These UFOs were captured on radar and by the FLIR gear. However,
they were never seen by the aircrew despite having been two
miles distant from the aircraft at one point. The crew consisted
of eight monitoring specialists, among them the pilot, Maj.
Magdaleno Castañón Muñoz, radar operator Lt. Germán Martin
Ramirez and FLIR operator Mario Adrian Vázquez Tellez. These
military men were interviewed and claimed having never seen a
similar phenomenon, since the speed and movements detected by
radar confirmed the fact that the [objects] were not aircraft.

The UFO Phenomenon in Mexico has been recognized as a fact in an
historic and unprecedent decision taken by the mexican
Department of Defense under his Secretary of Defense General
Clemente Vega Garcia, commander of all armed forces in this
country.

The insolit meassure that will change history here in Mexico was
the result of a high level incident in wich a mexican Air Force
airplane, military pilots and personal were involved in a
situation with several UFOs while doing a routinary surveillance
antinarcotics operation to detect a drug smuggling flight.

The news was released last night, Sunday May 9, 2004 by Jaime
Maussan, researcher and tv journalist during the tv show Los
Grandes Misterios del Tercer Milenio (Great Misteries of the
Third Millenium) broadcast by mexican tv network Multimedios
Television in the city of Monterrey, N.L.

Jaime Maussan announced that on Tuesday May 11 there will be an
international press conference to present the case and the
investigation made by the Department fo Defense along with
Maussan's research team in an unprecedent colaboration. The
press conference will take place at the Hotel Sevilla Palace in
Mexico city at 11:00 AM were all the international media
representatives have been invited. Previously on Monday's night
an advance report will be broadcast on national television
newscast.

All the facts and materials of the investigation will be
presented at the conference including the official footages by
the Air Force as well as interviews with the pilots and personal
involved in the amazing incident.

THE FACTS:

On April 20, 2004 Jaime Maussan was contacted by a high officer
of the Department of Defense to have a private meeting and
discuss a subject of a high relevant matter. The next day
Maussan met General Clemente Vega Garcia, Secretary of Defense
and his major staff and was informed about an incident that took
place on March 5, 2004 on the aerial space of Ciudad del Carmen,
Campeche where an Air Force Merlín C26A Bimotor airplane was
doing a routinary flight to detect a smuggling drug airplane
during an antinarcotics operation.

The Merlin C26A was equipped with a high tech advanced digital
equipment to register and record all the activities during the
operation. Powerful sensor detectors like a FLIR STAR ZAPPHIR II
and a RADAR AN/PS 143 BRAVO VICTOR 3 were being used by
qualified personal aboard the airplane and all the operation was
being recorded both in normal and infrared mode.

The airplane was under the command of Mayor Magdaleno Jasso
Núñez. The FLIR operator was Lt. Mario Adrián Vázquez and the
RADAR operator Lt. German Ramirez, all of them members of the
501 Aerial Squadron.

This airplane is programmed only for surveillance and detection
procedures, not for interception or combat maneuvres. Their duty
is to detect and identify drug dealers filghts and then
inmediately report them to the base where combat planes are
scrambled to intercept those narcotics smugglers.

At aproximately 17:00 PM the Merlin C26A detected an unknown
traffic at 10,500 feet over Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche airspace
and according to the protocol and suspecting a drug dealer
airplane Mayor Magdaleno Jasso made a maneuver to approach the
unidentified traffic at certain range to get a close look and
record the target with their equipment. At the same time Mayor
Jasso reported by radio to the base that a posible suspect was
detected requesting the interceptor planes to be in alert
condition.

The RADAR AN/PS 143 BRAVO VICTOR 3 was detecting the unknown
traffic and the FLIR STAR ZAPPHIR II was recording the object in
infrared. As the Merlin C26A tried to approach the unknown
traffic to make a visual identification it suddenly in a
surprising maneuver escaped flying away at tremendous speed. By
this time Mayor Jasso tried to persecute the target but it was
very fast. All this was being recorded by the FLAIR and also the
radio conversations with the base describing the inexpected
maneuver of the unknown. However the C26A still have not made
visual contact with the unknown object.

Just some moments passed when suddenly the unknown object
returned and began following the Merlin C26A in a surprising
situation. This was detected by the RADAR and the FLIR while the
personal aboard were trying to make visual contact of the
unidentified traffic now following them. In seconds the
equipment detected now not only one but two traffics following
them. The images in both RADAR and the FLIR were clear and
unmistakable. But both pilot and personal still could'nt have
visual contact with these two traffics following them adding a
great suspense to this disconcerting situation.

Mayor Magdaleno Jasso reported to the base the insolit incident
that was taking place giving detail of all the informations
registered by the equipment while keep trying to make visual
contact of the unknowns. The FLIR kept recording in infrared
every movement made by the two unknown objects that seemed to be
keeping their distance from the C26A but still following it. The
personal aboard the Merlin C26A were confused and disconcerted
seeing the images on the FLIR and the RADAR asking themselves
what was going on with this insolit situation.

THE INCIDENT TURNS MORE DRAMATIC

But the stressing moment that the C26A crew were passing through
was just the beguinning of something more dramatic that will
turn their undesirable experience into a real nightmare.

Some minutes passed while the mexican Air Force Merlin C26A crew
continued making maneuvers to have a visual contact of the
unknowns because despite both RADAR and FLIR were showing
perfectly clear both unidentified objects for unexplained
reasons there was not a visual contact even that the objects by
this time were at close range.

It was during this round and round maneuvers to identify these
two objects that something amazing happened. In a matter of
seconds more unknown objects arrived to the scene and the
disconcert of the C26A crew was total.

The RADAR and the FLIR detected immediately the presence of nine
new objects of the same size and characteristics, unknown
objects that arrived to the scene surprisingly like coming from
nowhere. Now the situation has entered into a high level of
danger so Mayor Magdaleno Jasso reported by radio to the base
this new situation requesting instructions.

But the most insolit thing was that even that there were eleven
unknown objects close to them still the crew could'nt see them,
no visual contact with the unknowns was posible for some reason
never experienced before by these high trained men. However the
high tech sophisticated equipment and sensors were not lying,
there were eleven targets outside them with unpredictable
intentions.

At the middle of a complete confusion and disconcert among the
C26A crew the unknown objects suddenly made a maneuver
surrounding the mexican Air Force airplane in a circle at close
range. The RADAR and FLIR presented an insolit image of an
eleven objects near by in a circle formation around the Merlin
C26A. The situation turned out of control.

Mayor Magdaleno Jasso reported to the base that the C26A
situation was now in red alert, surrounded by eleven mysterious
round shaped objects camouflaged with a certain unknown advanced
technology that avoid any visual contact of them. However Mayor
Jasso kept the calm as well as the crew who were working fast
meassuring and recording every detail of this unique incident
conscientious of their duty as military and trained men.

Confronting this situation surrounded by unidentified objects in
an unpredictable ending Mayor Magdaleno Jasso took the decision
of turning out all the airplane lights and wait to see what
happened. Moments of high suspense lived by the crew while the
FLIR was recording the images of those bright objects even that
visual contact was not posible, moments of silence and
uncertainty.

The C26A crew kept calmed doing their duty, documenting every
moment of the strange incident while Mayor Jasso continued in
contact with the base. After some stressing minutes the eleven
objects dissapeared giving an end to the strange experience that
these members of the 501 Aerial Squadron just lived. The Merlin
C26A returned safe to the Air Force Base and Mayor Magdaleno
Jasso prepared a complete report of the incident along with the
C26A crew.

The Secretary of the Defense took notice of Mayor Jasso's report
and began a full investigation studying and evaluating every
element of the case. Statements of the crew, images, lectures,
meassurements of all the equipment as well as a complete
evaluation of the meteorological data . The incident was taken
very seriously by the Department of Defense Staff and after
several weeks of investigation they decided under the command of
General Clemente Vega Garcia to contact researcher and tv
journalist Jaime Maussan for a special colaboration in this
investigation as an experienced researcher in these matters.

On April 22, 2004 General Clemente Vega, Secretary of Defense
gave Jaime Maussan a copy of all the tapes and data collected by
the Merlin C26A during the incident for study, evaluation and
analisis by Maussan's research team as complement of this
investigation and as an external colaborating source trying to
establish a definition of the posible motives and consequences
of the March 5, 2004 incident.

General Vega as well as his staff were very open to discuss the
subject and showed their legitimate interest in conducting this
investigation in order to establish the truth of what happened.
General Vega authorized the Merlin C26A crew to give Jaime
Maussan the interviews needed without any censorship, giving all
the facilities to present this case to the mexican people, an
historic and unprecedent decision that will open a new era of
mutual colaboration among the mexican ufologists and the
military forces, a colaboration based in respect and interest to
find the truth of the intense UFO activity we have been
experiencing here in Mexico since the beguinning of the Amazing
Mexican UFO Wave back in July 11, 1991.

This new era of relationship among the mexican UFO witnesses,
skywatchers, ufologists and our military forces will try to
establish and give form to a new legislation in our law system
focused to be prepared for any incident involving these
unidentified flying objects, our people, our comercial and
military airplanes etc. for learning and understanding what are
we going to do and how are we going to confront this reality.

The located zone was in optimal meteorological conditions, winds
no bigger than 35 kms./hour, relative humidity of 72% and a

-27° C and a visibility average of 96%.

The region doesn't register volcanic activity nor teutonics
movements. There was not detection of electric current storage
and distribution of importance.

On the basis of the previous thing there were not found sources
of electric magnetic phenomenons by electric centrals or sismic
movements. There were not found posibilities of any Ball of Fire
effect caused by volcanic activity.

There were not registries of solar storms in that moments or
relevant solar explosions. Therefore the posibilities of
ionization luminic effects like St. Elmo Fire or electric storms
were discarded.

Good day everyone. First of all I have a lot to type up on the case I am about
to talk about. But a ton of folks have written to me asking what happened to my
website. My site is down, or queued at this time and should be back up and

A Traumatic Event - Abduction ?

At 6:55 p.m. last night a lady called me just 5 minutes prior to me doing a
radio show. The lady said she wanted to tell me about some marks that she has on
her leg. At the time I had no idea what was yet to come, so I asked her if it
would be ok if I called her back straight after the show I was about to do.

An hour later I picked up the telephone and gave her a call. She resides in
Okalahoma in the U.S. To make a long story short for now is that when she was at
a younger age a traumatic event had taken place where she lost all memory. She
did not know who her parents were or any other family member. She had no
knowledge of her surroundings, who she was, where she was, etc..

Now at 54 years of age she is still baffled as to what would have caused such an
event. At certain times in her life she would awake to extremely bad bruising
and cuts covering her body. Of course this was upsetting not knowing where or
what caused this. Headaches, or for a better word sever migraines have plagued
her throughout her life. Some of the bruising she received were in the shape of
long slender fingers. On and on it goes !

Was this traumatic event caused by a possible abduction or something else ? One
can only guess at this point.
Right now the only thing that is known is that at a young age, a girl 'lost"
everything she knew and had to start all over again from scratch, becoming
familiar with her Mom and Dad and other family members not to mention everything
else.

UPDATE ON MEXICAN UFO INCIDENT
MEXICAN GOVERNMENT TAKE UNPRECEDENTED ACTION

Following yesterday's news story about the sighting of eleven UFOs by a
Mexican Military aircraft, the Mexican Department of Defense -- under
Secretary of Defense General Clemente Vega Garcia, commander of all armed
forces in the country -­ have taken the unprecedented step of publicly
confirming the incident. The press conference took place at the Hotel
Sevilla Palace in Mexico city and international media representatives were
invited.

JAIME MAUSSAN'S PRESS BRIEFING DOCUMENT:

THE FACTS: On April 20, 2004 Jaime Maussan was contacted by a high officer
of the Department of Defense to have a private meeting and discuss a subject
of a high relevant matter. The next day Maussan met General Clemente Vega
Garcia, Secretary of Defense and his major staff and was informed about an
incident that took place on March 5, 2004 on the aerial space of Ciudad del
Carmen, Campeche where an Air Force Merlín C26A Bimotor airplane was doing a
routine flight to detect a smuggling drug airplane during an ant-narcotics
operation.

The Merlin C26A was equipped with a high tech advanced digital equipment to
register and record all the activities during the operation. Powerful sensor
detectors like a FLIR STAR ZAPPHIR II and a RADAR AN/PS 143 BRAVO VICTOR 3
were being used by qualified personal aboard the airplane and all the
operation was being recorded both in normal and infrared mode. The airplane
was under the command of Mayor Magdaleno Jasso Núñez.

The FLIR operator was Lt. Mario Adrián Vázquez and the RADAR operator Lt.
German Ramirez, all of them members of the 501 Aerial Squadron. This
airplane is programmed only for surveillance and detection procedures, not
for interception or combat manouvres. Their duty is to detect and identify
drug dealers flights and then immediately report them to the base where
combat planes are scrambled to intercept those narcotics smugglers. At
approximately 17:00 PM the Merlin C26A detected an unknown traffic at 10,500
feet over Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche airspace and according to the protocol
and suspecting a drug dealer airplane Mayor Magdaleno Jasso made a maneuver
to approach the unidentified traffic at certain range to get a close look
and record the target with their equipment.

At the same time Mayor Jasso reported by radio to the base that a possible
suspect was detected requesting the interceptor planes to be in alert
condition. The RADAR AN/PS 143 BRAVO VICTOR 3 was detecting the unknown
traffic and the FLIR STAR ZAPPHIR II was recording the object in infrared.
As the Merlin C26A tried to approach the unknown traffic to make a visual
identification it suddenly in a surprising maneuver escaped flying away at
tremendous speed.

By this time Mayor Jasso tried to persecute the target but it was very fast.
All this was being recorded by the FLAIR and also the radio conversations
with the base describing the unexpected maneuver of the unknown. However the
C26A still have not made visual contact with the unknown object. Just some
moments passed when suddenly the unknown object returned and began following
the Merlin C26A in a surprising situation.

This was detected by the RADAR and the FLIR while the personal aboard were
trying to make visual contact of the unidentified traffic now following
them. In seconds the equipment detected now not only one but two traffics
following them. The images in both RADAR and the FLIR were clear and
unmistakable. But both pilot and personal still couldn't have visual contact
with these two traffics following them adding a great suspense to this
disconcerting situation. Mayor Magdaleno Jasso reported to the base the
incident that was taking place giving detail of all the information
registered by the equipment while keep trying to make visual contact of the
unknowns. The FLIR kept recording in infrared every movement made by the two
unknown objects that seemed to be keeping their distance from the C26A but
still following it. The personal aboard the Merlin C26A were confused and
disconcerted seeing the images on the FLIR and the RADAR asking themselves
what was going on with this situation.

THE INCIDENT TURNS MORE DRAMATIC

But the stressing moment that the C26A crew were passing through was just
the beginning of something more dramatic that will turn their undesirable
experience into a real nightmare. Some minutes passed while the Mexican Air
Force Merlin C26A crew continued making maneuvers to have a visual contact
of the unknowns because despite both RADAR and FLIR were showing perfectly
clear both unidentified objects for unexplained reasons there was not a
visual contact even that the objects by this time were at close range. It
was during this round and round maneuvers to identify these two objects that
something amazing happened. In a matter of seconds more unknown objects
arrived to the scene and the disconcert of the C26A crew was total.

The RADAR and the FLIR detected immediately the presence of nine new objects
of the same size and characteristics, unknown objects that arrived to the
scene surprisingly like coming from nowhere.

Now the situation has entered into a high level of danger so Mayor Magdaleno
Jasso reported by radio to the base this new situation requesting
instructions. But the most bizarre thing was that even though there were
eleven unknown objects close to them, still the crew couldn't see them, no
visual contact with the unknowns was possible for some reason never
experienced before by these high trained men. However the high tech
sophisticated equipment and sensors were not lying, there were eleven
targets outside them with unpredictable intentions.

At the middle of a complete confusion and disconcert among the C26A crew the
unknown objects suddenly made a maneuver surrounding the Mexican Air Force
airplane in a circle at close range. The RADAR and FLIR presented an image
of an eleven objects near by in a circle formation around the Merlin C26A.
The situation turned out of control. Mayor Magdaleno Jasso reported to the
base that the C26A situation was now in red alert, surrounded by eleven
mysterious round shaped objects camouflaged with a certain unknown advanced
technology that avoid any visual contact of them.

However Mayor Jasso kept the calm as well as the crew who were working fast
measuring and recording every detail of this unique incident conscientious
of their duty as military and trained men. Confronting this situation
surrounded by unidentified objects in an unpredictable ending Mayor
Magdaleno Jasso took the decision of turning out all the airplane lights and
wait to see what happened. Moments of high suspense lived by the crew while
the FLIR was recording the images of those bright objects even that visual
contact was not possible, moments of silence and uncertainty.

The C26A crew kept calmed doing their duty, documenting every moment of the
strange incident while Mayor Jasso continued in contact with the base. After
some stressing minutes the eleven objects disappeared giving an end to the
strange experience that these members of the 501 Aerial Squadron just lived.
The Merlin C26A returned safe to the Air Force Base and Mayor Magdaleno
Jasso prepared a complete report of the incident along with the C26A crew.
The Secretary of the Defense took notice of Mayor Jasso's report and began a
full investigation studying and evaluating every element of the case.

Statements of the crew, images, lectures, measurements of all the equipment
as well as a complete evaluation of the meteorological data . The incident
was taken very seriously by the Department of Defense Staff and after
several weeks of investigation they decided under the command of General
Clemente Vega Garcia to contact researcher and TV journalist Jaime Maussan
for a special collaboration in this investigation as an experienced
researcher in these matters. On April 22, 2004 General Clemente Vega,
Secretary of Defense gave Jaime Maussan a copy of all the tapes and data
collected by the Merlin C26A during the incident for study, evaluation and
analysis by Maussan's research team as complement of this investigation and
as an external collaborating source trying to establish a definition of the
possible motives and consequences of the March 5, 2004 incident.

General Vega as well as his staff were very open to discuss the subject and
showed their legitimate interest in conducting this investigation in order
to establish the truth of what happened. General Vega authorized the Merlin
C26A crew to give Jaime Maussan the interviews needed without any
censorship, giving all the facilities to present this case to the Mexican
people, an historic and unprecedented decision that will open a new era of
mutual collaboration among the Mexican ufologists and the military forces, a
collaboration based in respect and interest to find the truth of the intense
UFO activity we have been experiencing here in Mexico since the beginning of
the Amazing Mexican UFO Wave back in July 11, 1991.

This new era of relationship among the Mexican UFO witnesses, skywatchers,
ufologists and our military forces will try to establish and give form to a
new legislation in our law system focused to be prepared for any incident
involving these unidentified flying objects, our people, our commercial and
military airplanes etc. for learning and understanding what are we going to
do and how are we going to confront this reality.

MEXICO CITY - The Mexican Air Force has released footage of what a UFO
expert said were 11 invisible unidentified flying objects picked up by an
infrared camera as they whizzed around a surveillance plane.

A long-time believer in flying saucers, journalist Jaime Maussan told a news
conference on Tuesday the objects were real and seemed "intelligent" after
they at one point changed direction and surrounded the plane chasing them.

"They were invisible to the eye but they were there, there is no doubt about
it. They had mass, they had energy and they were moving about," he said,
after showing a 15-minute video he said the Defense Ministry gave him
permission to publicize.

The ministry confirmed to Reuters it had provided the video, filmed by the
Air Force on March 5 over the eastern coastal state of Campeche.

"We are not alone! This is so weird," one of the pilots can be heard
yelling, after the plane's crew switched on an infrared camera to track the
objects, first picked up by radar.

The film, recorded by a plane looking for drugs trafficking near the Gulf of
Mexico, shows 11 objects as blobs of light that hover in formation or dart
about, sometimes disappearing into cloud.

Mexico's most popular nightly news broadcast showed the video on Monday
night.

Interviewed by Mausson on another section of the video, the pilots said they
grew nervous when the objects, still invisible, turned back during a chase
and surrounded the plane.

"There was a moment when ... the screens showed they were behind us, to the
left and in front of us. It was at that point that I felt a bit tense," said
Maj. Magdaleno Castanon.

Mexico has a long history of fanciful UFO sightings, most of which are
dismissed by scientists as space debris, missiles, weather balloons, natural
weather phenomena or hoaxes.

MEXICO CITY -- Mexican Defense Secretary Ricardo Vega Garcia said
Wednesday the military had made no conclusions about a series of brightly
lit, rapidly moving objects filmed by Air Force pilots earlier this year.

But Vega said neither had the military concluded that the objects, visible
only with infrared equipment, were flying saucers as UFO investigator
Jaime Maussan insisted during a news conference Tuesday.

"This is Maussan's point of view, for that reason he was given (the video)
so that he could draw his own conclusions," Vega told W Radio. "But that
is his version."

On March 5, Mexican Air Force pilots videotaped the series of brilliant
objects flying at more than 3,500 meters (11,480 feet) over southern
Campeche state using a video camera equipped with an infrared lens.
Infrared equipment can only detect heat emanating from objects; it is
unable to provide an image of the objects' exact form.

In the videotape, first aired publicly on national television Monday
night, the objects appear to accelerate rapidly and change course
suddenly. At least one crew member testified in a videotaped interview
that the objects surrounded the Air Force jet when they were at least two
miles (three kilometers) away.

The pilots sighted the objects as they conducted a routine
drug-surveillance mission.

Vega said he initially believed the objects were drug trafficking planes,
"but when I began to see that they had those lights ... I realized they
couldn't be such aircraft."

Maussan said the videotape was evidence of the existence of UFOs. "This is
historic news," he told reporters Tuesday. "Hundreds of videos (of UFOs)
exist, but none had the backing of the armed forces of any country. ...
The armed forces don't perpetuate frauds."

But Vega said he had warned those under his command to refrain from
talking about "flying saucers" and UFOS when discussing the video "because
that just provokes doubts and jokes."

Vega also insisted that the military had not released the tape to distract
the nation from other issues, as some news commentators suggested.

Vega said he decided to release the videotape because it seemed pointless
to guard it as a military secret and he did not see it as a threat to
national security. He said copies are available for further revision by
the scientific community.

I made a phone call to this capital newspaper and just tolked with the
journalist who wrote this . He said that it was joke .

Subject: Mexico UFO Footage Background Information


Dear friends,

It's important to note that the Mexican Secretary of Defense conducted a
complete investigation with their own team shortly after the March 5, 2004
incident and also with the help of scientists and experts selected as
goverment advisors. The investigation was conducted confidentially and
followed every proccedure required.

As the results were inconclusive, in the sense of identifing the nature of
the traffic detected by the C26A equipment, the case was declared
"Unexplained". It was not until April 20, 2004 when General Clemente Vega,
Secretary of Defense decided, with his staff, to contact Jaime Maussan as
an advisor to aid in the investigation to conduct an independent study and
analisis of the C26A data.

As an expert in UFO incidents relating to civil aircraft, Jaime had a
meeting with General Vega and all the major Defense officials on April 21
and the next day he was shown all the materials. The intention of the
military was to dig deep into the phenomenon in which the C26A was
involved, trying to establish if this was indeed a paranormal incident as
suspected and to find elements that were not contained in their own data
base with the purpose of getting to the bottom of this event.

All the facilities were given to Jaime as well as authorization to access
the files and interrogate the crew members. In a surprising and historic
decision General Clemente Vega authorized Jaime Maussan to release the
case with all the facts to the Mexican people. General Vega said to him
with gentle words: "  know you will make good use of this Mr. Maussan."

A complete study and analisis was made by Jaime's research team and the
results have been published on the Internet and presented on national TV.
The conclusions are clear, they were UFOs - solid objects of unknown
origin - flying in airspace along with the Merlin C26A. The Secretary of
Defense accepted the Maussan research team's conclusions as an unexplained
event.

At this time alternate analysis are being conducted by several groups here
in Mexico including astronomers, meteorologists and digital imaging
experts. This is a mutual effort by Mexican ufologists and scientists to
respond to this long awaited UFO disclosure by our military as an
acknowledge for their confidence in all of us. The case continues, in its
second research phase. Next Sunday Jaime Maussan will present all the
facts,interviews and the complete footage with original audios in our TV
show Los Grandes Misterios del Tercer Milenio, a two hours live broadcast
simultaneously on the Internet for all to see this story.

Talk about out of this world. A Texas man claims he may have captured the
images of a UFO on his video camera. The Mission, Texas man says he was
awakened around midnight earlier this month by his dogs. When he went to see
what they were barking at, he says he literally couldn`t believe his eyes.
Bright lights, unlike any he`d ever seen before, danced around in the sky at
a distance. While he doesn`t want to speculate, some of his friends who
viewed the tape, believe he may have been in the company of space aliens.

all expectations in our Ufology. We ufologists here in Mexico
see with excitement how positive has been the reactions of so
many friends researchers and collagues from around the world to
this breaking story and how we all have forgotten our diferences
to join this mutual interest and impulse our efforts to
continue our work promoting the UFO Phenomena study.

However the attempts to descredit and minimize the potential of
this case by the skeptics and debunkers are going to increase
these days so we have to be alert to repel these naive theories
and statements from those upseted persons that still can't
accept the fact that the Secretary of Defense in Mexico has come
forward opening this case to all the people giving the mexican
UFO phenomena investigation the official recognizion and
support and the ufologists the premise of this investigation.

The few attempts to debunk this story at this time have been so
far very weak and mediocre by the skeptics and quickly
disqualified by the ufologic community. Failed attempts like the
improvised conference by some scientists from mexican university
UNAM contradicting themselves and declaring ridicule things like
" light sparks in the high atmosphere " as Rafael Navarro dared
to state disqualifing Flir Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:FLIR) the
multimillion defense industry of Portland, Oregon and it's
winner product the FLIR STAR SAFIRE II implying they are not
reliable. Flir Systems, Inc. is one of the world's most awarded
industry in designing high defense airborne imaging systems,
perimeter security systems and reconnaissance and surveillance
systems.

The recent discredit campaign against the case and the mexican
Secretary of Defense handled by common debunkers disguissed as
objective researchers like Scott Corrales and his obscure
Institute of Hispanic Ufology whom has a record of continued
debunking attacks on every major UFO case released in Mexico and
indiscriminated attacks on most of the important mexican
researchers. Corrales debunking campaign is clear publishing
every negative article on the news against the case, the
researcher Jaime Maussan and the Secretary of Defense General
Clemente Vega as part of his hidden agenda helped by his allies
like the Fundacion Cosmos group, a minor unknown mexican amateur
group of skeptic debunkers who only recollect newsclips from the
mexican newspapers and the Internet.

The mexican Air Force UFO incident is certainly a high level
case of trascendental proportions in our Ufology and one of the
world's most important breaking news in recent times. It's
useless the effort that debunkers like Rafael Navarro, Scott
Corrales and the other skeptics are doing to disqualify the case
and discredit Secretary of Defense General Vega trying to
change

the course of history. There's no way back and history has been
written.

I had the privilege of knowing this investigation since it's
birth back in April 2004, thanks to the confidence of Jaime
Maussan. For us the mexican researchers Secretary of Defense
General Clemente Vega is our champion, a true hero of democracy
who opened the military UFO files to the mexican people
establishing a direct communication and colaboration with the
civil UFO research. That changed history indeed.

We will continue supporting our Secretary of Defense as part as
our compromise corresponding to his confidence as well as the
armed forces in our country. Our communication is stronger than

rejecting the ridicule claims of those common debunkers that

Photos Of An "Alleged" Alien - New !

Real or a Hoax ?

HBCC UFO Note: I received the photos on the evening of May 14, 2004 of the
"alleged" Alien being. I have sent the photos also to my friend Jaime Maussan
for his thoughts on this. The below short story was in a foreign language and I
had to re-write the story, keeping the statement close to what was sent to me. I
have written back to the person who sent the photos and trying to get more
information on this.

Person statement who sent the photos: She (a friend) was looking at my photos
when suddenly she noticed something rare in one of them. I began to do zoom in
and I discovered a humanoid form in the back of the photo. I could not believe
it. I thought that someone was playing a joke on me but the people who were
there did not know that she was speaking about. I have spent hours analyzing the
photo and I did not find any anomaly. (I do not want anyone to think I am a
crazy person) If someone would like to analyze the photo I am open for
questions.

This is getting strange, the site is up and running just fine and there is a lot

Looks like I know why you can't get into my site. You are a AOL user I see from
your email address.

A good number of AOl members can't enter my site either for some reason. Seems
like these folks like to block what there members can or can't view. What a
system they are running.

Prince George, B.C.

Date:  May 13, 2004
Time:  11;15 p.m.

A lady called me from Prince George, B.C. to report a sighting that she and her
mother had. The first witness to the sighting had been laying down with her
young son when her Mom came into the room and said she could hear what they
thought was a kitten crying just outside their home. So the two ladies went
outside to have a look for the crying cat when the porch light suddenly went
out. One of the ladies looked up into the sky and towards the west and noticed a
light traveling through the sky heading in their direction which was towards the
east. She thought it may have been a satellite or a airplane. But the light was
far to low in altitude for it to be a satellite and there was no sound or any
flashing lights so she ruled out a plane of some kind.

As the white light approached closer and over top of their home it grew much
brighter, extremely bright she said. The object continued it's flight towards
the east and at one point the ladies Mother saw another light coming towards the
one they were already watching, but the second light was traveling from the
north and heading to the south. As both witnesses watched, the lights met up in
the night sky and blinked out as they crossed each other's path. The woman told
me they just disappeared.

The first light was observed for approx: three minutes and the second light was
observed for approx: 1 1/2 minutes before they both vanished. No tail was
following behind any of the lights. It was also a clear night. No aircraft were
seen inn the area when the sighting took place.
