CANBERRA, Australian (Reuters) -- In a breakthrough out of the realms
of Star Trek, scientists in Australia have successfully teleported a
laser beam of light from one spot to another in a split second but
warn: don't sell the car yet. A team of physicists at the Australian
National University (ANU) announced on Monday they had successfully
disembodied a laser beam in one location and rebuilt it in a
different spot about one meter away in the blink of an eye.

It was Oct. of 1986 or 1988 (unsure of these dates) about eight
o'clock or a little later, when I was going to visit a friend, who
lives in a rural part of Missouri. I pulled into his driveway, got
out of the car and went to the door and knocked. My friend was not at
home. I got ready to get back into the car and leave, when I noticed
several white lights in the western sky. They were moving toward me
at a slow but steady speed. I moved away from the car and into a
field adjacent to my friend's house.
