Here we are, Physics students, past and present, to discuss share and interact with one another about the Physics course in University of Malaya. Where would the engineers be without Physics? There will not be Computer Science without Physics too!

What is Physics? Physics is the most fundamental of all sciences. Its principles underlie phenomena studied in all other tecnical fields, which is one reason why its study is required by so many academic programs.

We humans have varied reactions to the world. The artist in us will admire sunset and wish we could communicate its beauty in a painting. The poet in us will try to find words with which to express the experience of the sunset. Another side of us, which might be the physicist trying to get out, is curious as to how far away the sun is, how big it is, and how it generates all the light and heat. Once we start asking such questions, it is hard to stop. and our philosophical and religious side might ask, " What is the meaning of the sunset?" In fact,we humans have the ability to experience all these reactions to some degree. When we say we are artist, a poet, a philosopher, or a physicist, we are simply choosing to emphasize and develop our talent in one of these directions. Physicists, to put simply, are people who are motivated to ask questions and therefore to seek answers about how the physical world around us operates. Physics, then is a body of knowledge that provides organized answers to our questions about the physical world. It is also a process of obtaining these answers, commonly referred to as the scientific method. The two main tool of Physics are logic and experimentation. Fron the laser to the integrated chip, from the electrical generator to the jet engine, from radio and television to lifesaving medicines and machines, developments made possible by scientific inquiry influence every moments of our lives.
