This discussion involves critical analysis of Einstein's September and June 1905 papers. Some hidden aspects of the derivation are pointed out which lead to interesting results. Einstein initially derived light energy –mass equation ∆L = ∆mc2 then wrote ∆E = ∆mc2 by simply replacing L by E. It is confirmed that Einstein's derivation of ∆L = ∆mc2 only under standard conditions, not in general. If general values of parameters are used in the derivation then results are not justified experimentally. Thus an alternate equation ∆E = Ac2∆M is derived and justified; here A is coefficient of proportionality known as conversion co-efficient.The applications of ∆E = Ac2 ∆M are suggested in various phenomena.
