Dear utPLSQL user,

You probably thought that there was no activity on the project. Well,
there has been a little. I've put together a beta release of utPLSQL
2.2. This release:

- Allows pluggable Reporter packages, so the results of your tests
could be written out as XML files or even sent as an email.
- Has an updated version detection process on installation, which
means it will install on 10g and hopefully also on 11x (or whatever
they call it) without modification.
- Allows an installation without access to the DBMS_PIPE package.
- A number of other small changes.

To grab the beta release, go to

Under "Files", you'll see a Beta section. Get the zip file from here
and away you go. Please try running this version against existing
tests. Everything should work as it did previously. Any problems,
email me via chrisrimmer@..., with details of the
issues you have encountered. The documentation has not yet been
updated, so if you want to write your own Reporter package, you'll
have to work it out yourself! Obviously this will be fixed before the
final release of 2.2.
