Subject: Paid History/Cultural Resources Internships
Greetings,
The purpose of this email is to announce the availability of paid history
and cultural resources internships with The Student Conservation
Association. We would appreciate your help in recruiting qualified students.
Examples of these paid internships are found below.
Benefits include a generous stipend of $420-520 per week, travel to/from the
internship, professional mentorship, and a three-day workshop to explore
careers in Cultural Resources. The program is jointly sponsored by The
Student Conservation Association and the National Park Service, and
placements are with federal, state, and non-profit sites across the nation.
In the next few weeks, a representative from SCA will be contacting you or
another member of your department to answer questions about these
opportunities. In the meantime, please feel free to share this announcement
with your departmental listservs, and with other faculty and students. We
also welcome inquiries in reply to this email.
Eligibility: age 18 or older; at least one year of college-level education;
US Citizen or Permanent Resident; interest in history, public history,
communications, museum studies, Native American Studies, journalism, or
related fields.
Students must submit an application (found at www.theSCA.org or by request)
that includes at least two references, a transcript, and a $20 application

may be waived for financial hardship.
