At the moment, development has basically stalled. We have some minor
fixes to 0.6.2 in the pipeline which will be released as 0.6.3
somewhen later this year.

Anyway, more work on Vanilla is on some kind of perma-todo list, so we
may get around eventually to add some missing bits and pieces, polish
up here and there or even do some long-wanted more groundshaking work.

The stagnant development of REBOL itself kinda contributed to the
lethargy surrounding Vanilla. A real, tangible REBOL 3 would certainly
be a strong impulse towards vanilloid revitalization.

Mr tsr (tsr.strain.at) did some things in that direction a long time
ago, but I'm personally not aware of any usable MySQL storage backend
for Vanilla. I suppose one would have to trick around a bit with CGI
and database connections to get at least half-decent performance.

However, if anyone wants to contribute a MySQL backed space accessor
(storage backend) that would be more than welcome!
