Back in Feb 2005, in post #841, I made an effort to follow the instruction guide
on
the installation of Vanilla. Since that time, I've upgraded to a newer laptop,
created a
livejournal blog, and made the decision to give wikis another try on my old
PowerBook running OS X (10.2). I really have a desire to learn wikis. I'm only
ashamed
that it took me so long and the fact that I'm trying my hand at administrative
tasks on
an old obsolete 'puter which I use when I bathe to listen to podcasts.
The GOOD NEWS is that I think I made a breakthru as the test of pulling up the
url
http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/vanilla.r results in the registration page. Whoot! My
problem is when I fill out the form and hit the form send button, I'm returned
this
message:
NOT FOUND
The requested URL /cgi-binvanilla.r was not found on this server
I "debugged the output in vanillar.wrapped.r and the display at the top of the
http://
127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/vanilla.r page reads:
none Set-Cookie: vanilla-uid=; path=/; Set-Cookie: vanilla-sid=12251373-
10583717-1287152-13463091; path=/; Content-Type: text/html
I don't know what that means and I can't seem to find the error log file to
watch the
error messages from the web server. I'm hoping somebody will be brave enough to
guide me thru this once again as it seems I'm a bit less naive than I was
several years
ago when it comes to technical troubleshooting.
