The organizing committee of VDAT 2007 is pleased to announce that
the 11th VLSI Design and Test Symposium will be held in Kolkata at
the Convention Centre of Saha Institute for Nuclear Physics, during
August 8-11, 2007.

The formal Call for Papers is now available. If you need a hardcopy
of the same, please write to vsisecy@....

* Prospective authors are invited to submit unpublished work in a maximum of 10
A4 size pages including figures, appendices and references. The last date for
submission is MARCH 31, 2007. You are strongly advised to submit the title,
abstract and a preliminary version of your manuscript by March 26, 2007.

* Paper submission must be done electronically. The conference will
use the CMT system for managing the reviews.

and first set up a login ID for themselves before submitting the
paper.Click on "User Login." You may need to create your login ID (if you are a
New User) and profile by clicking "New User Registration". The instructions are
self-explanatory.

* If you forget your password, the system will allow you to reset
the password.

* If you submit a trial version of the manuscript, please ensure to
delete it before submitting the final version to avoid the trial
version getting reviewed.

* You must enter all the fields shown - title, abstract, authors,
subject areas, category of submission and the file in PDF format. (When the
paper is accepted, we will ask for final submission in WORD format.)
Finally, enter the confirmation.

* Please ensure that you have mentioned all the authors at the time
of submission. You may not add or delete authors later. It is
imperative that one of the authors will register and present the
paper if the paper gets accepted.

* Please ensure that the title you select is the final one - you may
not change the title later.

* Do not identify yourselves in the paper either directly or
indirectly. VDAT will use blind review procedure. Your paper will
be rejected if the PC feels that you have identified yourselves
directly or indirectly.

* VDAT will also accept embedded tutorials of 45 min to 1 hr
duration. There is no fundamental difference between an embedded
tutorial and a paper, except that the embedded tutorial is a survey
of previously published work. In both cases, we will need the full
paper in PDF format. The authors of embedded tutorials may
indentify themselves and include a brief biography of the *speaker*
who will deliver the tutorial. If there are mutliple authors, the
speaker must be clearly identified and only his/her biography must
be included.

* After submitting the paper, ensure that the paper has been
properly submitted by downloading it.

Tutorials
========

Note that full-day or half-day tutorials are planned for August 11. Submissions
of papers and proposals for tutorials are now open. Please use CMT
system accessible from the VDAT website to submit tutorial proposals
also - make it clear in the title if you are submitting a tutorial
proposal. Please feel free to circulate this mail to your
colleagues and friends.
