VSI Updates
===========

1. On Feb 28, VSI organized (along with RV College of Engineering,
Bangalore, and ISA) a one-day workshop at RVCE, Bangalore. The
workshop included 7 technical presentations from the industry and a
panel discussion. The goal of the workshop was to improve industry-
academia interaction and provide exposure to state-of-the-art

2. On Feb 26, VSI Goa Chapter organized a one-day workshop on VLSI.
The program included presentations from industry and students from
colleges in Goa. Details are available from the VSI website.

3. On March 9, VSI sponsored a free one-day workshop organized at DA-
IICT Ahmedabad. Ram Jonnavithula and C.P. Ravikumar were the main
faculty and they covered selected topics in Design for Testability in
VLSI, including the impact of variability on test.

3. Design Verification Methodologies workshop will be organized at
Pune during April 5-6, 2007. Please register early to avoid
disappointments. The seating is limited.

4. A workshop on Mixed Signal Design and Test is being planned at
Coimbatore during April 25-26. Details will be announced by the end of
March.

5. A summer workshop on Low Power Design is being planned in
May/June. Prof. Vishwani Agrawal, Dr. Srivaths Ravi, Dr. David
Harris, Dr. Bharadwaj Amruthur, and several other faculty are expected
to take part. Details will be announced soon.

6. A 3-day workshop is being planned in Bagalkot for faculty and
students in June 2007. Details will be announced.

7. A one-day workshop is being planned with Prof. Sandip Kundu as faculty
(July). Details will be announced.

8. A four-day course on DFT (taught by Prof. S.M. Reddy, Dr. Nilanjan Mukherjee)
is being planned in August in New Delhi. Details will be announced.

9. March 31 is the deadline for VDAT 2007 paper submissions. See
