VDAT 2008 - Invitations to submit proposals for the Research Scholar
Forum
As in the past, a "Research Scholar Forum" will be held as part of
the VLSI Education Day in the VLSI Design and Test Symposium, 2008.
The intent of the forum is to encourage research scholars enrolled
in MS/Ph.D. programs in Microelctronics/VLSI in India to present
their ongoing work and seek peer review. The submissions will be
reviewed by a committee and reviews will be communicated to the
submitting authors. Selected submissions will be allowed
presentation time at the forum.
(a) The proposal must come from a student who is currently enrolled
in an MS/Ph.D. program in India. There can be coauthors in the
proposal, but the presenting author's name must be clearly
indicated. The presenting author must be a student.
(b) The proposal must include a set of foils in PPT or PDF format.
In addition, a write-up in WORD or PDF format not exceed 4 pages may
be included (optional). The writeup must include a title, the list
of authors and their affiliations, an abstract,a summary
of the ongoing/proposed work, and acknowledgements to the funding
agencies. It is not expected that the work is
complete.
(c) The proposals must be sent to vsisecy@... by email in
WORD or PDF format no later than June 1, 2008.
(d) Authors of selected entries will be intimated by July 1 and
asked to submit the foils by July 7, 2008.
(f) The submissions cannot be included in the hardcopy proceedings,
but the foils/write-up can be included in the CD.
(g) Authors of selected entries will be provided presentation time
in VDAT 2008. At least one speaker is expected to register and
attend VDAT 2008.
(h) Submissions must be sent (ONLY) to vdat@... by email.
