An international community of venom/toxin researchers, physicians, herpetologists, both amateur and professional and other scientists and students working with or interested in venomous/toxinous organisms including venom chemistry, clinical effects, the use of venoms for beneficial applications and the field and medical management of envenomation. Originally known as the venom list or venom-l, this group was founded in 1994 but was moved to Yahoogroups in September, 2001.

Members are responsible for the content of their own posts. Neither Yahoo, the listserv or its moderators are responsible for the posts of members posting hereon.
