Responsibilities:

· Develop comprehensive IC bring up and bench validation plans
in conjunction with system and ASIC engineering teams.
· Develop software and write code for embedded processors to
test full functionality of the IC comprising memories, DSP functions,
timers, I/Os, and other on-chip hardware resources.
· Run validation tests on bench set up for both pre and post
silicon validation.
· Debug bench test problems, isolate if it is software or
hardware problem, and take lead on resolving IC failures.

Job Requirements:

· The applicant for this position must have a very deep working
knowledge of diagnostics and functional test development for
microprocessor based controllers, DSP and various I/O architectures.
· Thorough familiarity with ARM platform and its debugging
features is required. Additional RISC processor experience a plus.
· He/She must be highly skilled in Assembly, C program
development and the use of MS Visual Suite. Other RTOS drivers,
firmware development using embedded IDE tool experience a plus.
· Candidate must have hands-on work experience on IC bring up
on bench set up, testing, and debugging of test failures.
· Must understand how to read board schematics.
· Should be proficient in using test equipment such as
ICE/JTAG, logic analyzer, oscilloscopes, etc for debugging bench test
failures.
· Must be able to quickly pick up and understand functionality
of embedded processor based SOC products.
· Prior experience in GPS, wireless, ASICs, and common I/O
testing such as USB, ATAPI, Audio is highly desirable.
· Requires a min. BS degree, MS preferred, with 3 to 10 years
experience in embedded processor coding, debugging, and IC testing.
· Candidate must be able to communicate clearly both orally and
in writing. Ability to drive issues to closure among multiple
engineering teams must be demonstrated.
