Hi all. I'm a new member and getting ready to start video blogging.
I've had alot of fun in the past few days surfing vlogs and getting
to know some of the styles out there. I can't wait to start. I've
had a website long enough that my first one was coded in vi and
designed for lynx browsers! Then netscape came along and changed
everything (Although, I still write/code my sites in a text
editor ;) ). I started blogging about 3 years ago I guess (or at
least thats when I started calling them blogs) , and am now working
on a few features to my website to allow for a robust vlog. I hope
to have all that ready soon ... in the meantime I'm getting all the
software/hardware in place and enjoying building out the new
functionality on my website. (I think I'll release a teaser
for the upcoming vlog features tomorrow :D)
Anyway, I'm looking at various cameras now trying to decide which
one I should get and I've read in a few places that the camera
doesn't really matter ...
But I have a nice web cam ... and whenever I try to capture video
it's really bad. It doesn't look like anything even near 30fps
(even though the camera insists thats what it's doing), the audio
isn't in sync ... it's just pretty bad.
So I think I'm going to get a digital camcorder. This will work
best for me anyway as I want to be able to do out in-the-field type
of shots.
Does anyone have any good suggestions on cameras? I've heard good
things about the Canon ZR300??
Thanks in advance for any advice. I hope to be vlogging soon.
