VIMDOC WEBSITE UPDATED
The vimdoc pages were lagging behind, there was no active maintenance.
Dan Sharp took the initiative and has updated the pages now. Most
noticable is the new look, but the contents has also been improved.
You can find the pages here:
http://vimdoc.sf.net
Thanks to Dan Sharp!
VIM DOWNLOAD PAGES UPDATED
The Vim download pages are visited very often. I made the index a bit
easier to read and split off the parts about sources and patches to
their own page. The main download page now only contains the list of
all systems. That should make it a bit simpler to find what you want.
A new page has been created for the translated help files. There isn't
much yet, only a link to the French translation. The italian one should
be added soon and more changes to come later.
I want to express my appreciation to the people who did the
translations. This is a huge achievement! The use of translated help
files is possible only after the recent patch 6.2.299, thus I hope more
translations will become available now.
NEW ITEM TO VOTE ON
Upon request I have added one item to vote on:
- Add option to highlight the screen line (and column) of the cursor
Note that this doesn't mean this would actually be implemented, but the
votes give me an idea of what people prefer.
More info about voting can be found here:

In the meantime I patched to 6.2.311 and the problem is gone. Probably
gremlins in my system.

I had similar problems when (not fully) recompiling Vim with different
settings (for me even the border was drawn in a dark color). A "make
clean && make && make install" solved the problem for me. Since your
problems don't show up now, they might have been caused by a similar
problem. My guess would be that sometimes an object file isn't rebuild
and thus a pointer to some color value get's mixed up in the resulting
executable.

After seeing the problem the first time, I did a make clean. It didn't
help.

Hi!
I like the Vim editor. I am use it on my Mac (iBook G3, Mac OS X 10.3) But I

guifont to "Times CE" or "Monaco CE" or something like this. Please reply me to
gcummins@.... Thank You,
user George Cummins

Put something like the following in your .vimrc
:set guifont=Time\ CE:h10
The :h10 is the font size (10 points).

The vim-mac-unsubscribe address doesn't work (tried it several times).
Unsubscribing using commands in the subject line doesn't work either.
How do I leave this list? I receive enough spam like that...

What exactly did you try?
HTH --Benji Fisher
According to http://www.vim.org/maillist.php#vim-mac
I sent an email to vim-mac-unsubscribe@..., with the usual technique
of putting "unsubscribe" as sole word in the subject line and in the
message
body.
Maybe it doesn't work this way -- But it should, according to the docs
at http://www.vim.org/maillist.php#help
(in fact anything should do as long as the email goes to the proper
address)
What did I miss? ;-)

Hi all,
I have happily been using VIM (6.2.?, compiled some time ago) on my
iBook (G4 800, German keyboard) for a few weeks, but there is one thing
I miss really badly. I miss the ability to go to start/end of line with
the home and end keys when in insert mode (doing it in command mode
would be useful too). What key combination is needed to send the
appropriate commands?
Or, what are the command strings that need to be send to the Terminal
to do it? If I knew that I could add entries in the "Window Prefrences
-> Keyboard" dialog...
Many thanks in advance,
Nicky
