Well folks, as you should know by now Yahoo has provided the
government of China with the personal information that has resulted
in at least one person being imprisoned (and possibly/probably
tortured) for having a dissident opinion, and expressing it on a
Yahoo forum.
According to Yahoo, they gave him up as a condition of doing
business in China.
Well .... I'm fed up with Yahoo, and am leaving this (and all other
Yahoo) forums.
I can not continue to have any association in any form, with a
company that gives up it's members to the likes of the Chinese
government, only to be tortured and put in prison for 10 years, for
expressing a dissentient opinion on Yahoo.
I can't think of any reason to continue to have any association with
the likes of Yahoo, especially in view of Yahoo's recent reasons for
giving up people to a bunch of commies, without any responsible
considerations for their actions.
My amusement provided by these forums is not worth 'any' person
being sold down the river, just so Yahoo can continue to operate in
China.
I can't think of any reason you or anyone else should (in good
conscience) continue to support this practice, just to have a forum
to amuse yourself.
I hope you will join me in boycotting Yahoo (stop posting to this
and any other Yahoo forum) and stop doing any business with any
company that uses any Yahoo service, until they either stop the
practice of disclosing the personal information of their members, to
the tyrannical government of China, or Yahoo sees the errors of
their ways and leaves China altogether.
To continue to use the forum and support others that do, speaks well
of your moral compass.
