Have downoaded version 4b but I've found that the exit crash problem
still persists. Otherwise works fine. When you quit, the moon graphic
disappears and the box goes white and the cursor goes into timer mode,
but the program still refuses to shut down and one has to go to the
Task Manager and force it to shut from there.

My laptop is using Nvidia drivers rather than ATI, and when I go to
'update driver' it tells me that the latest version of the driver is
already installed.
