Hi Dima (and everybody else :-),
finally it seems everything is ready for the new release.
Dima, I've just a couple of doubts:
- I've noticed that code for checking versions of required software has been
removed from setup.py. I suppose it is not necessary for the Debian package, but
it is for installing from sources. How would it affect you if this code is added
again to setup.py?
- have you had a look to the problem of data files (examples, docs and licenses)
being installed directly on /usr instead of /usr/ViTables or similar?
Once these doubts will be clear I'll create a 2.1b tag in the repo and will use
it for the release.
Regards,
Vicent

would fall drastically again after August my plan was to do as much as possible
in August and then do a release early in September. I'll try to do the new
release before September 15th.
