a) Use Windows Explorer to locate Stimon.exe. It should be located in your
"\Windows\System" folder.
b) After you have found it, right-click on the the filename and select "Create
Shortcut" in the popup menu.
c) Drag the shortcut (which will be named "Shortcut to Stimon.exe") onto your
desktop.
An easier method might be:
1) Right-click your "My Computer" icon.
2) Select "Find..." in the popup menu. This should open a "Find All Files"
window.
3) Type "stimon.exe" in the "Named" box, then click the "Find Now" button.
4) After the search has finished, right-click "Stimon.exe" in the file list,
then select "Create Shortcut".
5) A message box will appear: "Windows cannot create a shortcut here. Do you
want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?" Click "Yes".

Subject: [volumebug] Shortcut for Stimon.exe
I have disabled Stimon.exe from startup and this appears to have
fixed the problem, however I can't use my digital camera and scanner
until I find a way to activate it, anyone know how to provide a
shortcut on my desktop so I can enable Stimon.exe at will? I
apologize for being such a moron when it comes to this area of
computing, and I appreciate all the hard work this group has spent in
fixing this problem.
