Re: [vpas] 6.Nov.09 GAP - Report

Bird,

I have been missing the GAP ....I need to get out there on Friday now that the bugs are gone ... also I am a little more busy than usual with my 8 week old!

Hope to see you soon.

Stargazers,

Excellent skies and even better AstroBuddy companionship. Thanks
everyone for coming out last night. The spectacular skies and the one
huge meteor streak were awesome. I had my Astroscan. George shared
views. Bob had his Celestron and giant binoculars. Chris worked with
Nick and his 10-inch. I just love the winter skies.

I got there a little after 5 pm and headed out over five hours of
observing later. Thanks, Chris for staying and helping me lock up the
gates.

Clear Dark Skies,
Bird

Hey Tom, Yeah, the Astroscan tripod is very flimsy, but it's only a simple plastic tripod without any type of head. It has a 1/4 x 20 thread sticking out that...
