I don't think it's a color depth issue with X. VTBuilder on Linux is built on wxWindows-GTK, and other GTK programs are displaying beautiful full-color icons...

XPM files are C source. They are compiled in. Hence EOL issues can't affect them, the compiler only looks at what's inside the quote marks. -Ben...
