Now they have shut down the store. I guess they should have realized
that with a download only product that size it would cause problems.

Tell me about it! I received my serial number and download links last night,
but my download keeps timing out, or will not connect to the server.  And
last night it downloaded for 6 hours, but it stayed ay 0%! Grrr lol I want

Actually, things seem to have sped up substantially about 90 min ago.
Thought I'd be downloadin til Sunday morning, and now it's almost

I got my dl links for the extracd last night.  Took all day to download and
finished a short while ago.  The second link I got is dead.

However, I have not received a link to download the programme itself and I've
been waiting all day for an answer from tech support :(

I am trying to produce a desert landscape with a deep chasm in the
surface (running away from the camera). I have tried creating a thin
mountain ridge and inverting it but this doesn't seem to work.

I'm afraid my finances meant I had to stop upgrading with Version 3.1
Mover but it still affords me what I need and I'm happy with it.

I shall be even happier if anyone could solve this little problem for
me.

I just made a little vid to show how lightwave (9) and vue6xStream works
together for a friend. But thought others might be curious. It is in wmv
format since that was the only thing I could use to compress enough for a
small filesize with enough quality to still see the details. The file is
about 8.5Mb in size and resolution of 908x704. It is 7:46.

There is no audio. But it should give a hint of how they work together.

Take it or leave it. =)

Thanks for the response. I am not far enough into Vue to be sure
about importing greyscale terrain maps but I'll give it a try. I
bought the programme as a magazine offer and it has sat on my shelf
for a while.

I am producing maps of a fantasy world for a fiction author and
wanted to do some 3D scenes of what I have produced to see if the
author shares my mental images. So I took Vue off the shelf and
opened it up. It was only then I realised what a great piece of
software it is and started investigating a bit more seriously. Sadly
I can't afford a few hundred bucks to upgrade to the newer versions,
but I find what I have does pretty well what I want.

My present problem relates to showing a piece of terrain that, with
the viewer standing at ground level, disappears below ground level -
almost like a gravelly slope going down into an underground cavern. A
canyon is, I believe, a narrow passage between two walls of rock -
but at ground level. Do you think the terrain map you linked me two
will achive this? Indeed, is Vue (my version, at least) capable of
doing this at all?

Upon request I recorded another vid where I have a couple of LW objects to
interact with a vue surrounding. All right in LW. One is transparent, one is
reflecting, both intersect the water. It is about 14 minutes and almost
10Mb.

Note how the transparent one refracts vegetation and that the refracted
trees from the sphere is reflected in the water surface.

Microsoft WMV encoder was used.

Hi all...
I'm student studying computer science...I have a game programming
project, I'm using VC++, Directx, & PhysX SDK.(I have alot of problems

Does anyone know if Mover/Mover5, the animation component for Vue4 and 5
was integrated into Vue6 Pro and as such, not mentioned as a separate
feature or component, or is it not there altogether and not offered as a
component?



Thanks if anyone knows.  I assume by not seeing it in the Vue 6 Pro
feature list that it's capabilities were just put into service as a
standard to the app.

a Carrara user but found Vue to be a very cool secondary solution for creating

..and this may be my first post. Been lurking for a while, and it's been
too quiet. Not that the OTHER Yahoo groups I'm on have been...

Built the mechs and aircraft in DOGA L3, converted it to OBJ format in
3D Exploration, and re-did textures and rendered it in VUE 5 Infinite.

I'm doing artwork for WARDOGS, and it's Starmada supplement, this was
something I submitted for it.
