Vue is a great program. I've only been using for a very short while. I'm mainly

FYI, there are 'adult' links in the link section.

Does anyone know if Mover/Mover5, the animation component for Vue4 and 5
was integrated into Vue6 Pro and as such, not mentioned as a separate
feature or component, or is it not there altogether and not offered as a
component?



Thanks if anyone knows.  I assume by not seeing it in the Vue 6 Pro
feature list that it's capabilities were just put into service as a
standard to the app.

I'm student studying computer science...I have a game programming
project, I'm using VC++, Directx, & PhysX SDK.(I have alot of problems
with PhysX :(  )

The game is about a flight run away very fast from another flights try
to catch mine in a very complex tunnels.(I will tell u -the designer-

So, I need 3d designer in my team to make the map(The Tunnels), I
don't have one, & I don't know how to make one(I am programmer :)...

Upon request I recorded another vid where I have a couple of LW objects to
interact with a vue surrounding. All right in LW. One is transparent, one is
reflecting, both intersect the water. It is about 14 minutes and almost
10Mb.

Note how the transparent one refracts vegetation and that the refracted
trees from the sphere is reflected in the water surface.

Microsoft WMV encoder was used.

Thanks for the response. I am not far enough into Vue to be sure
about importing greyscale terrain maps but I'll give it a try. I
bought the programme as a magazine offer and it has sat on my shelf
for a while.

I am producing maps of a fantasy world for a fiction author and
wanted to do some 3D scenes of what I have produced to see if the
author shares my mental images. So I took Vue off the shelf and
opened it up. It was only then I realised what a great piece of
software it is and started investigating a bit more seriously. Sadly
I can't afford a few hundred bucks to upgrade to the newer versions,
but I find what I have does pretty well what I want.

My present problem relates to showing a piece of terrain that, with
the viewer standing at ground level, disappears below ground level -
almost like a gravelly slope going down into an underground cavern. A
canyon is, I believe, a narrow passage between two walls of rock -
but at ground level. Do you think the terrain map you linked me two
will achive this? Indeed, is Vue (my version, at least) capable of
doing this at all?

I just made a little vid to show how lightwave (9) and vue6xStream works
together for a friend. But thought others might be curious. It is in wmv
format since that was the only thing I could use to compress enough for a
small filesize with enough quality to still see the details. The file is
about 8.5Mb in size and resolution of 908x704. It is 7:46.

There is no audio. But it should give a hint of how they work together.
