Picked up a used 80 watt solar panel off ebay yesterday for $530...pretty
good price I thought. About a month ago I got a new 13 watt solar briefcase
for $120 delivered. I've hooked them up in parallel and I get about 20 volts
at 6.5 amps!

Its happily powering my laptop, and charging my phone which is plugged into
a usb port. To keep it on topic, heres a pic of it running vzem!

I've got the wiring hooked up to a female cigarette plug, to which I've
plugged in a 15v to 24v regulator designed to power a laptop from a car.

A real vz300 uses a 12volt dc adapter at 1 amp, so could probably be driven
off a 13 watt panel using a regulator. A VZ off the grid!
