Hi everyone,
two weeks ago Avinash posted about "how should web analysts spend
their day", and on my side, I've been talking about "attention". So I
took Avinash suggestion and the survey used to map out the types of
attention being spent on a task (see www.attnco.com). The combination
of the two should give us a pretty good picture of the web analysts
job, the time they spend on each type of activity, and if those are
perceived as positive or negative tasks (and other attention
characteristics).
My problem is I don't have the reputation of Eric Peterson, so I can't
gather a thousand followers :) I only got about 30 survey responses...
I must admit the survey is a bit complex (I wanted to use the exact
methodology from Attention Map) and the questions are directly taken
from Avinash. I got about a hundred page views on the survey start, 55
started it, including 28 completed.
Despite the low response rate, I can already see some interesting
results I could share.
As "advocacies of WA", I would appreciate if you could take a look at
what I'm trying to accomplish, comment, bash or anything will be
accepted :)
If it's worth it, I will continue and ask for your support to increase
the number of respondents. Otherwise I will stop it there and
summarize what I've found so far.
