RICHARD HITS THE ROAD... AND NEEDS A FEW GOOD FRIENDS!
Over the next few months, Richard Heinberg (PCI’s Senior Fellow), will hit the road to share the timely contents of his new book, The End of Growth, with loyal supporters (you) and peers (you).
Will you help us plan his travel itinerary between now and the end of the year?
Currently, we’re considering the following metro areas:
Portland, OR
Salt Lake City, UT
Atlanta, GA
Dallas, TX
Boston, MA
Seattle, WA
Jackson, WY
Burlington, VT
Chico, CA
Los Angeles, CA
San Francisco, CA
Chicago, IL
Vancouver, BC
If you live in any of these cities, we’d like to pick your brain about ideal presentation locations and interesting local groups. Maybe you’ll want to help organize an event in your area? Whaddya say?
If you live elsewhere, and think Richard should pay you a visit, let us know! We can’t promise anything, but it’s important that Richard and PCI connect with new people in new cities. We're a small organization, so we don't get many opportunities to do so. If you feel there are enough interested folks to make a trip worthwhile, let’s talk.
As we’ve entered very uncertain and difficult economic times, the challenges ahead also present the greatest opportunity in our lifetimes. All of us--policymakers, communities, and families alike—need to pull together to build a new economy that operates within Earth’s budget of energy and resources. We can thrive if we promote human and environmental well-being, rather than continuing to pursue the now-unattainable prize of ever-expanding GDP.
