Sorry for the short notice again, but we are having another meeting.
Jim Matthews will be speaking about his link checker. He needed a script that
would crawl a website looking for certain special conditions. He started using
Ruby and Watir then ended up building a script that used Ruby, Watir, and Mysql.
Jim will discuss the problems encountered and the evolution to the final
incarnation of the script.
Watircraft will be the sponsor so we will have something to eat.
Jim Matthews has been doing automated software testing for over seventeen years.
He has used a number of commercial test automation tools and developed his own
to fill in gaps. Jim has worked on large waterfall projects and in small
start-up companies. Currently he works in Agile software development
environments, developing tests for web sites using Ruby and Watir.
You can start arrive between 6:15 and 7:00 on Wednesday 21-May to talk with
other Watir users and get something to eat before Jim makes his presentation.
The meeting will be held at Uplogix's office on 360 between 2222 and Spicewood
springs.
