Hi All,

This is a great viewer, thanks to those that spend time writing it. It is much
quicker than GTKViewer to start up and it doesn't need the X server (on
Windows).

However, there are 2 features which would make it much easier to use.

The first one is to have a refresh button (e.g. F5) or even better an option to
refresh the display automatically if the VCD file gets updated. This makes the
behaviour similar to say Modelsim's waveform viewer and is great for "going
round the loop" quickly.

The second feature, which is only important if the refresh option is not
available, is to automatically load the signals (default settings?), that is you
don't have to drag and drop the signals onto the waveform window. Again this
makes the usage easier for development.

I use the viewer with Visual C++ express to learn SystemC. I have added the
viewer to the external tool section and set the vcd file association to invoke
it. This means that after I run the code I can click on the vcd file in the
solution explorer and the viewer pops up :-)

Thanks,
Hans.

1 - I agree with the great interest of a refresh button. 2 - I suggest that the default .settings file includes all the signals and the user has only to remove...
