It is not when the .vcd file is empty, but when the .settings file mismatch a correct .vcd file. That is rather ennoying because to build the .settings file...
The problem raised by an obsolete .settings file could be easy to solve if the .settings file was a simple editable text file. Then it could be easy to modify...
