Omniture Clickmap - Issues with Data Accuracy?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #13392 of 24599 |
Hi Everyone,

Is anyone actively using clickmap's site overlay feature from Omniture? If
so, do you notice any issues with it's data accuracy? There are a few links
on our pages that we track with custom links, and when comparing it the data
on the site overlay, it's completely off. I didn't expect it to be match
exactly, but they are nowhere close to each other. Any advice on how to
correct this?

Thanks

One alternative (less work than onclick) is to use the s_objectID, assigned objectID to each links so when you move them around, Omniture does not reset your...

Another reason that Omniture ClickMap numbers won't add up to match SiteCatalyst pathing & traffic reports is that not every page you render comes from...

Another way to ensure data accuracy with Omniture Clickmap is to tag each link (including URLs and clickable images) with its own Object ID using the ...

We have had the same issues with data consistency in SiteCatalyst. Omniture provides 3 methods of finding out which links visitors clicked on your page. a)...

Florian, I'd say that option number two, the "Next Page Report" is not intended to be used to measure links at all. That report simply says what page was next...

Thanks Jason for taking time to answer this. I understand that the next page report does not tell me what link was clicked if two links on my page point to the...

Florian, It's hard to compare apple to oranges, they are different metrics. Path view is based on visit, and visit depends on third party cookie (assume that's...
