I checked the code on http://cableorganizer.com/
I think there may be issues with this call:
http://search.cableorganizer.com/autosuggest/searchbox_suggest_v1.js
there's a delay of 12s or so when this is called whilst the
browser is unresponsive before it continues.

My guess is that this script is doing something to hang
the browser loading/rendering until it's finished.

Quite why this might be an issue in IE6 I'm not too sure without
debugging the javascript involved, but I'd start there.
