Hello,
I did a little more research on my previous post on VisitorTrack, and
I figured I'd let the group know for future reference.
Apparently VisitorTrack identifies companies based on static IP
addresses, which you can then use Jigsaw or LinkedIn to recover a
lead's name. Savvy I suppose although usually only very large
companies may have a static IP to support this logic. So all those
with dynamic or licensed IP's are lost in the shuffle.
However, you can gather similar insights with a Network Location
report in Google Analytics. Since the detailed report can be
segmented, you can determine the landing page, campaign
classification, etc. for that particular IP visitor. I guess you
could also hunt down a name on LinkedIn too...
Granted the results must be analyzed with a grain of salt, it may be
of potential worth to some one out there looking for new business =)
