'sup WA Dawg?
I am a Yahoo! Analytics user working with a major player in the UK sports
industry. Admittedly, the main focus of the business is NOT making profit from
retail or e-commerce activity, however all things considered I'm finding YWA
does the job quite beautifully. It ain't perfect yo, but when it comes to 'cost
vs. benefit' it's a hard act to beat. You feel me?
We've had the lowdown from Webtrends (quite impressive really, but not the right
solution for us at the moment); and I'm really NOT impressed by the unyeilding,
thick-skinned and in-your-face sales tactics of certain Omniture representatives
(you know who you are!). So much so that I would not consider their products
even if they really were all that! Coremetrics good for retail verticals,
but... blah, blah. Anyway, perhaps I digress...
If it's mainly the Demographic data that you need then you'll be very happy with
Yahoo! Analytics. As well as the usual geographic metrics, you also get
standard reports for profiling visitors by age, gender, and language. Along
with the custom report builder, and segmentation capabilities you'll not be left
wanting.
