Has anyone used the GA AS3 library to code a flash piece that is used on

facebook some how block the GA calls.

I am looking for some feedback/ help on linking domains & subdomain. Since the
time we've linked the main domain with the domain, all my search data ( vistors

Any idea on how best to handle this problem?

Hi Arthur,

You can unlink your AdWords account but in order to be safe I recommend that you
change the time zone of your AdWords account. You cannot do this via the UI, you
have to contact AdWords support for that (and it can only be done once).

Hello,

This is my first post - thanks very much in advance for your help! I look
forward to being an active member.

This is my issue:

I found that our analytics are reading on Pacific Time, but we operate on
Eastern. I found where this would be changed, but I cannot change it because it
says that it is linked to an AdWords account. However, that account is not
active (we have checked and confirmed). Is there any way to un-link it from that
inactive account or change the time zone in another way?

Thank you!

Arthur

John,

We did have a brief period of unavailability for some users, but this has since
been resolved. If you're still experiencing issues with reporting in
SiteCatalyst or Discover, would you shoot me an e-mail with your login company
information? I'd be happy to check it out.

Thanks,

You omniture AM can help you make a small change to clickmap and this makes it
more accurate. I worked with our AM and got it fixed.

As Oleg pointed out, Omniture clickmap has issues and it can be fixed fairly
quickly.

I generally use clickmap for getting a quick heatmap overview of clicks. This is
useful if you want to perform a quick test on landing page links, image or
buttons.

Hope this helps

Hi Jason,

As Oleg mentioned, the none unique links will all show the same click numbers.
This is a known issue in many of the overlay click reports provided by web
Analytics vendors. When doing true heatmap analysis I use CrazyEgg as in defines
each link with it's own ID. The solution is inexpensive and has really helped me
quantify the value of the real estate on my pages.

Dynamic query for the landing page basically spits out the value of the query
variable on that page. If you are able to see it as a text on the page then
chances are Google spider will see it as well.

Here are two ways you can see exactly what the Google spider sees-

1. Google cache version of the page on the SERP

2. "Fetch as Googlebot" feature in the Lab section of the Google Web masters
tool.

Hope this helps.

Hi James,

Yes, those are the steps I took, but with different results. What I find
most perplexing is that the behaviour of the custom report/advanced segement
combination is not consistent across my site. Sections of my site are driven
by different content management systems and I thought that might be the root
of the problem. I tested various the sections and am seeing the reporting
discrepancies consistently inconsistent.

My guess is it's a bug in Google Analytics. My question now is if I can be
confident in the values being generated by the advanced segments.

Next up for me is a thorough review of the code to see if I've created any
problems there.

Hi Jason,

It is a known issue with ClickMap. I would use ClickMap only in terms of link
rank on the page. All other page stats should come from SiteCatalyst. Please
note that if you have non-unique links on the page, ClickMap will show the same
click-through numbers for all such links that share the same URL.

Does it help?

Hi all,

I have an Omniture question that may have a simple answer but for the life of me
I can not figure it out.

Basically I'm looking at the same page in Omniture through the `Clickmap' and
also through `Page summary' report for the same date range, but it appears stats
are completely different.

• Total page views
• Entry visits
• Exit
• Single visits

The stats above are all different in both views. Why is this? What one should I
be using to get an understanding of the page activity?

Another question is looking at clickmap, if I was to use the clicks on the links
on, are they unique? and also how would I work out a percentage of each click
against the total clicks on the page? Would I have to do this manually by
counting all clicked links within the page or is this readily available
somewhere else?

Your help is appreciated as usual

Many Thanks

Hi all:

I'd love any help I could get. I'm working on a financial model for a new
consumer internet site that generates revenue through advertising. While I
understand there is great variability, does anyone have any experience with

1. What percentage of visitors I can expect to click on some sort of ad (text,
banner, etc)?

2. What percentage of visitors I can expect to register on the site (totally
free)?

Again, I know there are thousands of inputs to these questions but I'm looking
for some baseline based upon others' experiences!

Thanks,

I have used a very useful hack to get more than 500 rows out of GA at one time
(just append "&limit=50000" to the URL and the export in CSV format), but i have
recently noticed that the maximum I can now get is 20000 rows (both in Content
Drilldown and Transactions).

Does anyone know whether Google Analytics has put some block in on max rows
exported?

I have been experimenting with using Greasemonkey Ubiquity Command Method, but
whilst I can get the command prompt up and type "gm row limit with <number of
required rows>" either nothing happens in GA or I am redirected to my Google
Mail login.

Anybody had experience with this script?

Thanks

Dan

Hey Jim,

thank you. That is a great help.

You might want to add the Google Analytics Individual Qualification Certificate.
