It looks like there's been some spamming on this and other Yahoo
groups. I'm sorry if it's caused anyone distress, and please be
assured that I have deleted the offending addresses from the list and
reported them to Yahoo.

Since the spammers are getting more clever by joining the groups
before hitting them, I've changed the settings here so that newly-
joined members will have their messages moderated before being sent
out to the list. This means that I (or Dave Winer, the original
moderator here) will have to approve those messages before the other
subscribers see them. Once I'm satisfied that the member isn't a
spammer, I will let them post unmoderated messages. This way, people
can still subscribe to the list freely, but their first post will be
vetted by a human.

I hope this helps. I realize this is a pretty low-traffic group
(presumably people are too busy posting on their weblogs!) but I'll
try to keep up with it as best I can.
