I've not had a "Lent book" - a book intended for reading as a spiritual exercise in the days leading up to Easter - for many years, but I just notice on that looks very promising.

"The Last Week" [UK|US] is an account of the last week of Jesus' life by revisionist theologians Borg and Crossan, and promises to be valuable reading. From the reviews it seems they have demythologised the Biblical account are focus on what happened and why in terms that those viewing the events could understand. I have it on order.
