Still on dial-up. Pipex has managed to move the ticket around internally but they seem no closer to actually getting someone at my local exchange to recycle the line card. The help desk are friendly and responsive (thanks, Nas and James), but that doesn't make up for the fact there's no DSL, no date when there will be DSL and no progress outside their ticket system 44 hours since the outage started.
I did an interview on LUG Radio this evening (about open source Java, coming soon to a feed reader near you) and they asked about my outage, so I had the chance to tell quite a few UK geeks about this hidden "benefit" of Pipex service. More tomorrow.
