o Webots tutorial at IROS 2003
A tutorial entitled "Realistic Simulation and Real Mobile Robots" based
on Webots and on the Khepera robots will be held at IROS 2003 in Las
Vegas (USA) on October 31, 2003. This hands-on tutorial will introduce
the audience to the technique of realistic mobile robot simulation with
tranfer to real robots. The tutorial is divided in a theoretical part
(30 minutes) and a hands-on practical part (3.5 hours). More details on

o Webots 4 floating license server available
A new license system has been released for Webots users. This floating
license system allows you to run Webots on any machine of your local
network, with respect of the number of licenses you own. Hence the
Webots licenses are not any more tied to specific computer. The license
server should run on a Linux computer. Please contact us if you want
to use this new system.
o Judo contest in the starting blocks!
After completing the development of a free online Webots 3D viewer
called WebView, we are about to start the rounds in the new humanoid
robot judo contest. We currently have about 10 registered competitors
among which 6 of them have already submitted judoka robot controllers.

o Webots 4.0.10 released
This new version of Webots 4 is necessary if you want to use the new
floating license server. Moreover it fixes a few serious bugs in Webots
and BotStudio. This upgrade is recommanded for every Webots user.
