o Cyberbotics to demo Webots at ICRA 2004 conference next week
We will have a booth at ICRA 2004 conference in New Orleans
(USA) from April 26th to May 1st, 2004 (this is next week!).
We will be making demos of the latests versions of Webots
on a video projector and demonstrate the transfer to Aibo,
Khepera and Hemisson robots. You are welcome to come to us!

o Webots paper in International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems
We are pleased to announce a new publication presenting Webots
as a powerful fast prototyping and simulation tool for research
and education in mobile robotics. The paper was published in the
International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems.

o Cyberbotics second prize at EURON tech tranfer awards
Cyberbotics has been presenting Webots at the fist EURON
technology transfer awards held in Amsterdam on March 13th 2004.
Six finalists were selected out of 15 applications to present
their projects. Webots is a successful technology transfer
between the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne
(EPFL) and Cyberbotics Ltd. The second prize was decerned to
Cyberbotics for the Webots project. This is a great
encouragement to continue such collaborations to develop new
technology transfer projects.

o Webots 4.0.21 released
This new version of Webots introduces many bug fixes and
improvements over version 4.0.20. It is highly recommanded
to upgrade to this new version.

o Humanoid Robot Judo Contest
The contest is approaching the end (May 7th). We reached 50
teams competing in this contest. The last surprise came from
the performance of Bob, a swedish robot walking on the kees!
He became first after defeating 40 competitors! The top 10
robots are really impressive now. see

We are now preparing the new edition for this successful
contest. It will be http://roboka.org We are still looking
for partnerships (university lecturers, robotics groups,
media) and sponsoring.
