Bob II, traning for roboka We recently found on YouTube a very entertaining movie made with Webots (turn on the sound). From the description: "A little story about BobII (bob the second). This video shows his very hard time in our genetic algorithms trying to learn how to walk and fight like a true robot killing machine..."
Hoap-2 robot playing the drums High level activity control on Aibo / URBI / Webots
Hoap 2 robot playing the drums Sarah Dégallier, Cristina P. Santos, Ludovic Righetti and Auke-Jan Ijspeert published a paper entitled "Movement generation using dynamical systems: a humanoid robot performing a drumming task" at the Humanoids 2006 conference along with interesting videos where a real and a simulated HOAP-2 robot are playing the drums using a superposition, and switch between, discrete and dynamic rhythmic movements.
Aibo URBI HTN Dane Alexander from AIAI at Edinburgh university developed a Webots simulation of Aibo using the URBI programming language that allows for a high level activity control of the robot. This master thesis is publicly available on the web, including the Webots files. This is illustrated with a simulated Aibo robot navigating from one zone to another in a generic office environment, with zones representing rooms and open spaces.
