Robotstadium published first match movie! Webots 5.9.1 released!
Robotstadium The Robotstadiumcontest started on April 21st. So far 96 users registered to the web site and two of them have submitted controller programs: Ted and Cracoucass (see the 85 MB match movie). Other challengers are under preparation. You are welcome to join, submit your URBI and/or Java code and possibly win a Nao robot offered by Aldebaran robotics.

Webots A new release of Webots is available for download on our web site. This new version features a better integration of URBI, provides an improved compilation and cross-compilation graphical user interface, includes an improved documentation (especially with Java method prototypes) and fixes a number of bugs. The complete change log is available here.
Rat's Life dominated by "Ratatouille" for over one month!
Walking and swimming salamander robot simulation
Rat's Life The Rat's Life contest has found its master with Ratatouille: a SLAM-enabled robot able to discover and remember the location of feeders in the maze (see movies). Since April 6th, Ratatouille has been proudly standing at the top of the Hall of Fame filled with 35 competing teams. The contest is still open to new comers: will you be able to challenge Ratatouille?

Salamander robot
The salamander robot simulation developed by Prof. Ijspeert is now included in Webots. A movie (8 MB) was published on Cyberbotics' web site. showing the transition between the walking and swimming behaviors. The model included in Webots corresponds to the one described in the Science paper.
