Robotstadium competition restarting now! Webots demos at IROS'2008
Robotstadium As announced previously, the Robotstadium competition recently restarted. 16 teams are participating in this competition, from which 15 are inherited from the previous edition. If you are interested in programming Nao humanoid robots to play soccer, you are very welcome to join. You will be able to compare the performance of your robot team to the best teams and maybe play a match against the famous CMRobotics (Carnegie Mellon University, USA), winner of the finals in RoboCup'08. The robots can be programmed in URBI, Java or C/C++.

IROS 2008 Cyberbotics will have a booth at IROS 2008 in Nice next week from September 23rd to September 25th, 2008. If you happen to be there, you are very welcome to step by. You will be able to see some nice and recent demos of Webots showing off our latest developments. We will also demonstrate the e-puck robots and how they can be used together with Webots, in simulation, remote control or cross-compilation modes.
Rat's Life competition reborn at Skövde University!
 URBI training sessions in Paris
Rat's Life Quoting Tony Morse: "Following the success of the original webots ratslife competition (now over),  I've built a new site and re-launched the competition long term. This site provides an online robot programming benchmark ideal for students and researchers alike. I use this site as teaching and coursework material for my students and hope that others will do the same. URBI
 Paris based Gostai is running a 2 day advanced technical training session for URBI. The Universal Real-time Behavior Interface (URBI) is a powerful parallel script engine coupled with a component architecture. The training session will make an extensive use of Webots running URBI for Webots. URBI, which has been employed in the development of several robots and robotic products, is used to control hardware and software components in a flexible and portable way. The next sessions are to run September 29-30 and November 17-18, 2008 in Paris, France.
