GECCO'2009 to run a Webots-based salamander robot competition
GECCO'2009 Pier Luca Lanzi, Ivan Tanev and Auke-Jan Ijspeert are setting up a new competition for the GECCO 2009 conference to be held in Montréal, Canada, July 8-12, 2009. This competition will rely on the Salamander robot model developed by Auke-Jan Ijspeert and simulated in Webots by Jérome Braure and Yvan Bourquin. A nice introductory video show all the GECCO-2009 competitions, including this Webots-based salamander simulation. Webots / Nao / URBI tutorial [french]
librebot Bothari, one of the best competitors in the robotstadium competition set up a very nice web site [french only for now] which includes a tutorial explaining how to set up a nice humanoid robot simulation, based on Webots, the Nao humanoid robot model and the URBI programming language. A blog with a forum and a nice video featuring 3 dancing Nao robots are also available from his web site at http://librebot.free.fr. Bothari would surely appreciate any comments about his promising work.
