It must be time for another update: Don't want to be a pest..
Dolly has gone through all six sessions of Chemotherapy in this round. (the first). she has had to go through several tests to se where she stands... She gets the results next Tuesday.. They could be anything from more chemo needed, to radiation therapy (for the melanoma in the bone marrow ) to remission.
She is praying and believing for a quick remission, of course.
She would like to go back to work in January (which she misses), but some days lacks the energy and isn't so sure..
I am very busy with computer work (my job), glad since I definitely need he money.. But prevents me from spending time on the computer personally .. Be assured, I am NOT mad at anyone or ignoring them.
This is just a quick note to let everyone that my desktop computer
is fixed (only took a month and half to get a new motherboard. My
little laptop quit two weeks go and the new power cord is on it's
way..
Give me a couple of days to catch me. I threw away over 400 spams
today. :-(

Just to let you know:
Messages:
· Yahoo! Groups will continue to deliver all attachments sent via
email, however, the attachments will no longer be archived in the
Messages area. You may continue to upload files and images in the
Files and Photos areas of your groups. Please re-upload any attached
files you would like to preserve to the Photos or Files areas of
your group. On August 7, all attachments in the Messages area will
be permanently removed, and Yahoo! will be unable to retrieve such
data. Please note: All of your group messages will remain. Only the
attachments will be deleted. (That means that pictures, photos and
graphics that are emailed to the message board will now only be
availble to people that recieve individual messages. - the digest
format often doesn't displace them all. Those that are reading the
messages on the website will no longer see these attachments.)
Files/Photos
· A web membership to a group will be required to access the Files
and Photos areas for that particular group. (I have always required
this - so it is NO CHANGE for us)

Hi all,
I just recently adopted a new webring. It is "the aol VB ring". I've
posted the link in the links section under computers and internet.
Just thought you might like to know
Jason
That's fine. I kind of figured that you were trying to get people to talk more.
I'm a member of well lets just say a few yahoo groups myself and I have on group that I control with the help of others.
I also currently manage 3 websites (I just added a new one) and have plans for more of them. Actually two of the websites are related. I don't like having to pay hosting fees so I set up on free web hosting places and if there isn't enough space I expand to another website. Kind of my way of having sub webs. Eventually they will catch on and I won't be able to do that anymore.
I just recently got into using webrings and have found that they are pretty fun. I currently have three rings and hoping to adopt another. I am a member of many more.
Thanks for the reply
Jason

Jason,
I can appreciate your comments. They were NOT directed at anyone in particular. (although they do apply to some members) They were part of my "occasional" pep talk. :-)
Since there is little message board acivity in the group, I also like to make an occasional post so visitors do not get discouraged before joining thinking that this is an inactive group, (Yahoo has many) All they would have to do is look at the link section to see that this group (as the name implies) is more a directory then a general discussion type group. (which the majority of Yahoo groups are)
It is just like my most recent poll question about the usefullness of this group should NOT be taken as a indication that this group is or isn't useful and about to be deleted, if necessary. It is only a way that I can judge (thouh feedback) whether the membership feels that we are meeting the stated goals and purpose of this group. (comments are always welcome on the board or, if preferred, to me via private email)
A while back, I asked if anyone wanted to be considered as an ADDITIONAL monitor of this group. That was NOT to imply that I was "giving up" on the group, but only a way to encourage others here to get more involved, if they choose to do so. (one person did apply and I thank them for doing so. I have decided to wait a bit in case there are others before I do anything even though they appear quite qualified)

Enter your vote today! A new poll has been created for the
webringdirectory group:
Everyone (members): Is this group
serving a purpose??
o Yes, keep it going
o No, close it down
o Unsure
o Don't care either way
To vote, please visit the following web page:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/webringdirectory/surveys?id=292968
Note: Please do not reply to this message. Poll votes are
not collected via email. To vote, you must go to the Yahoo! Groups
web site listed above.
Thanks!
We have had a couple of new members join lately. I see they have NOT
posted any webrings. Sure hope they are here then to find a GOOD
webring to join!! ~grin~
Don't forget to add any new webrings that you have created or
adopted. I would like to see our list (under links" - left column)
continue to grow, it helps all of us.

This is to let everyone know - the monthly contest has been
cancelled!!
I recieved word from some of my members in one group that
these "unwanted" contests must stop. Since the purpose of the
contest was FUN and a way of thanking those people that had joined
my 10 Yahoo groups and 5 Lycos clubs.
I have not intended to offend anyone. It is actually to my benfit to
save the monthly $25.00 gift certificates (no strings attached),
that I paid for OUT of MY OWN pocket.
If I have offended you, I am sorry!!
Truman
I am starting to look for another group moderator to take over this
group, if the need arises.
I would like to think that someone has the authority and tools
necessary to keep this group going after I am no longer able to do
so.
I am asking for a person to volunteer to become a "moderator in
training" (if you have never been a moderator of a Yahoo group
before) or a full co-moderator (if you have done so before)
I am asking those persons to email me "off list" stating why they
would/should be considerd. When I have made any decision about this
group, I will announce it on the message board.
Thanks!
Truman
There have been some changes in my clubs and groups this last month
and some of you might NOT know, but I run a fun contest in which I
give away a prize to the winner. The COMPUTER (not me) picks the
winner from all the members of all my groups .. They then have 10
days to contact me (truman@...) to find out what the
prize is and make arrangements for it's delivery..
It is a fun thing with no obligation on the part of the winner... I
do not release any information other then your group and/or club ID
when annoucing the winner drawn...
The drawing is held the first couple of days of each month. All
members are included.
Therefore the computer JUST went to work and this month's winner is
from the Yahoo Basenji group and the ID is MCCP - Please contact me,
so I can send you your prize.
If you were not picked this month, there is next month!! GOOD LUCK!!
Truman
Some of you might know - I had to close one of my webring groups
based at another server, that has been forced to start charging for
their services. (I am on a fixed income and therefore had to close
that group)
I made mention of this group and some of those members have become
members here. WELCOME!!
Be sure to list your webrings here (see "links"), take the
current "polls", check out the "database" and add your mug shot, I
mean, ..... "photos".
Again, welcome. Make yourself at home..
Truman
I like humor and jokes and I am sure other people do also.
If you have recieved this invitation more then once, you are in more
then one of my groups (I have 10 at Yahoo alone) or your email
address is in my personal address book. If so, sorry for the repeat.
I started one Yahoo humor group today while waiting to hear about
another .... now I have two groups. ~grin~
They are very different, so I will keep them both. :-)
CHRISTIANS WITH HUMOR
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/christianswithhumor
This group has been around awhile. It was started by a Canadian
Christian Pastor on May 9, 2000. It currently has 27 members. This
group is strictly a humor and joke board that members can post to.
It has "cleaner" jokes by it's very nature. Members that post
improper jokes will be warned and/or removed. The subject matter may
more likely be Christain (God, Jesus and the Bible), but general
clean jokes are allowed. The Pastor had to give up the group as he
needed to spend more time on other priorities.
FRENDSHIP and HUMOR
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/friendships_humor
I started this group today (April 15, 2003) as a combined friendship
(meeting new people) and humor board that members can post to. I
have many non-Christian friends that might not feel confortable
joining a Christian group. This group is more tolerant of "slightly
off color jokes" that might be offensive to some people. If you feel
that this is not the group for you, please join the the other group.
(you can even join both, if you want) The membership of each group
will be different over time and therefore the postings will be
different.
I have several joke lists through topica.com that I send out about
three to five jokes per day via email, but will ocassionaly post to
this group as well. ( the only way to get them all is to sign up at:
http://truman.agape-computer.com/laugh.html )
Please consider joining my "new" groups.
Truman
