That is not the problem it plays mp3 fine it is a software program that is call
"sound utils" this came with the Clie but when ever I try to start the program
it hangs the clie.

Hi! Try testing by playing different mp3 files.. the
problem cud be with the bandwith of the mp3 file which you
are trying to play.. otherwise my clié functions gr8. I
havent any problems with my clié.
